Have you had your camera for a while and you are frustrated that your pictures are not looking as you imagined?

Are you tired of reading technical manuals for your camera that don’t answer basic question: how to just take a better picture?

Do your images sit on your camera card for months, never downloaded or very disorganised on your computer?

Many people purchase DSLR camera in hopes of not missing a moment of their children’s lives, but are not totally satisfied with the images when they appear on their computer screen.  They just want their images to be better.

Our Workshop Getting to know & Love your DSLR is a workshop that teaches you how to take better pictures. It focuses on concepts you can easily put into practice, just by understanding lighting, composition, perspective .


Participants will walk away with a 50 page Workbook that includes both in depth details and quick tips for common situations which will help you improve your photos immediately… just by taking the time to assess light, change up their angle, and remember a few quick tips. Our workshops are very hands on and as we move through the workbook we go outside and practise so you get a hands on understanding of each section

        Training your eye to find the light

Composition and perspective

Lens and focal length selection

Output: downloading, storage

High level review of exposure

Auto and semi-manual settings

Understand Aperture

shutter speed


White balance

Metering modes and why

Putting it all together and using your camera in manual
