I met Elle and Kyle one week out from their wedding! Yes you did read that right. Some last minute circumstances meant they were looking for a wedding photographer one week before their wedding, and I had photographed Elle's maid of honours wedding, the gorgeous Ana, 3 years before! Of course I absolutely love photographing people I know's weddings, it just makes it even more comfortable and connected and its awesome seeing people you know again throughout the day and night!
We chatted over coffee and did a quick 101 getting to know you, and organised the wedding day, they were having a first look because of a late ceremony and an early reception, which was perfect, even though it was one of the only 40 degree days we had in Perth this summer!
Elle relaxed the minute she saw Kyle. It was instant. He is obviously such a calming presence and I could see instantly that these two were made for each other. They had a hilarious and calm bridal party, (all from the paramedic/nursing industry I think!) and we had a beautiful afternoon at the Fremantle Arts centre for the first look, then Point Walter for the ceremony.
Elle and Kyle's speeches were incredible. There is no denying this is my favourite part of the night. I LOVE hearing more about people, and even though I don't know the couples personally often, I still laugh along and in this instance cried along with them all too. My cheeks hurt by the end of the night.
Elle & Kyle I love that the stars aligned and I was able to capture your special day. And special it truly was!!!
It's hard to portray how it makes me feel to watch all these wonderful people while they are experiencing some of the greatest moments of their lives, making unique memories that I get to witness and photograph.Read More
This beautiful couple got to have not one but two fabulous days of celebrating their love! On the Saturday we captured their intimate Islamic Service by the river, and on Sunday morning we gathered at the UWA Sunken Gardens for their Wedding Service. The day was filled with emotion, and I loved watching and capturing all of the love that was being felt by everyone. The highlight at this wedding was listening to Renae's Mum talk about how they first got to know Sameer, through Renae's Nonna coming into their shop and negotiating the prices! Lots of laughs were had, and it was beautiful to watch the blending of these two families from very diverse cultural backgrounds.Read More
I am in my element photographing extended families, I truly LOVE it! I think it must be because I am used to the larger than life noise, and the many vibrant personalities that come out, and I just love watching everyone engaging and having a great time together. It truly makes me so happy.
So when I met up with this beautiful family last week at Point Walter, even the grey sky couldn't affect this awesome session!
Grandparents, Four beautiful daughters, their husbands and 11 grandchildren. It was awesome!!!!
Thank you for choosing me to capture you all, it makes my heart happy and my smile huge capturing these memories for you!
A beautiful at home lifestyle session with this gorgeous family of 5 (can't forget their gorgeous pooch Theo!!). I photographed their beautiful baby girl when she was the same age, and now at 2.5 she has grown so much!!! Love being invited back into clients families to capture their family growing.
To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. ~Clara OrtegaRead More
Meet Addison Pearl, the beautiful baby girl of my dear friends Tanaya and Josh.
I first met Tanaya in early high school, and we have been close friends every since. We've had our great times, few not so good times, and many hilarious moments in between.
I felt so privileged to photograph her beautiful wedding 4 years ago to Josh, and when she told me she was pregnant I was so happy for her. Watching her and Josh become parents has been beautiful, little Miss Addison you are so lucky. You have the best parents in the world!!!Read More
Louisa and Colin are both such calm and kind individuals, so together they just make one awesome, relaxed couple! There morning prep was spent surrounded by dogs, (including their own!) and all of their awesome family and friends.
